Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and maintaining a large-scale enterprise infrastructure environment, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical server systems while contributing to ongoing modernization and operational excellence initiatives.You will collaborate with infrastructure engineers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to execute maintenance activities, operating system upgrades, security remediation efforts, and infrastructure support in a fast-paced enterprise environment.Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled server maintenance, patching, and remediation activities during designated maintenance windows.
• Execute operating system upgrade projects, including migrations from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022.
• Administer and support a large-scale enterprise server environment consisting of 2,000 servers.
• Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure while supporting a smaller Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve server, operating system, and infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
• Deploy security patches and support vulnerability remediation efforts to maintain compliance with organizational security standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities.
• Utilize monitoring, security, and remote access technologies to support enterprise systems.
• Document configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance activities.
• Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotation activities as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to infrastructure performance, security, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 4 years of Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, or related experience.
• Strong experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments.
• Experience performing server patching, maintenance, upgrades, and remediation activities.
• Proficiency with:
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Windows Server administration
• Experience troubleshooting server, operating system, and enterprise infrastructure issues.
• Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems and incident management processes.
• Understanding of security best practices, vulnerability management, and patch compliance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively managing priorities and maintenance schedules.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale server environments with thousands of managed systems.
• Familiarity with Zscaler or similar security and remote access platforms.
• Experience participating in infrastructure on-call rotations.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and systems management tools.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Work Environment & Location

• Location: Remote
• Schedule:
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST
  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
• Engagement Type: Contract-to-Hire
• Participation in evening on-call rotation may be required.
• Collaborative team environment with opportunities to support large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.
